Leading Information Technology Services Company Uses SIM-Based Intelligent Correlation to Empower Automated Remediation

POST FALLS, IDAHO - (August 1, 2005) - TriGeo Network Security (www.trigeo.com), the pioneer and leader of Automated Remediation through Intelligent Correlation™, today announced IntegraSys, a business unit of Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV) and provider of information technology services to credit unions, is its newest customer. IntegraSys will use the TriGeo Security Information Manager (SIM) to pursue VISA Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) and TruSecure certification for its Madison, Wisconsin data center, and provide the Madison data center, which moves about 15,000 files a day, with 24x7 network security coverage.

"When we looked at the cost of other systems, the competitors were two to three times as much," said Bill Rambadt, Operations Manager of IntegraSys. "The TriGeo solution had all the pieces we required in a single package."

TriGeo SIM helps network administrators identify security threats to networks by analyzing real-time security product data from the perimeter down to the desktop. Because of its automated remediation and notification, real-time event analysis, and correlation and normalization of network device logs, TriGeo has been instrumental in helping clients in the financial industry deal with highly sensitive data, mounting regulations, and auditors' requests to see how log data is managed, what responses were taken to suspicious activity or security breaches, and how the institution controls and monitors data access.

A key factor in IntegraSys' decision to select TriGeo was the ease with which they could deploy TriGeo's appliance-based solution and associated agents. IntegraSys deployed one server per minute and 45 desktops in about 90 minutes. TriGeo lived up to its promise of unprecedented ease of deployment—it can be installed in minutes, with zero downtime.

Another important feature for IntegraSys was the impact of TriGeo's agent on CPU usage. "Some vendors claim their agent only takes 2-3 percent of the processor, but once their solutions are installed they take up much more of the CPU," said Rambadt. "TriGeo's agent truly uses only 2-3 percent of the CPU, in addition to very low network bandwidth, plus it can be deployed quickly."

TriGeo SIM will allow IntegraSys' nearly 200 disparate network products (such as firewalls, routers, servers, operating systems, workstations, anti-virus programs, intrusion detection systems, etc.) to communicate and coordinate their actions. TriGeo's in-memory analysis and millisecond response overcomes the latency inherent in database queries, and allows it to monitor the millions of events being generated and build a memory map of activity that powers the real-time rules, policies and automated responses. TriGeo will monitor IntegraSys' Madison Data Center's network for signs of network attacks, suspicious behavior, and policy violations.
